With online market, making a wesite is dispensable to your company,
but when we want it become a successful website, it's not easy .
What
we should do and shouldn't do in a website ?
Check carefully all your contents.
If you don't care about checking your spelling, the customer will doubt
you and will they be willing to give you their money ? You should have
your friends or your coworkers to check the mistakes because they can
show you something you can never find out.
Before
uploading your website, you should check all of things : links, loading
time, forms, images... and try to check in as much ways as you can .
There is a very important thing
you need to know : you shouldn't let them know immediately what you sell
even though you have many products and your products are very special
... You should let them read something useful, what they can get from
your site,etc... and mention about your products in a gently way... If
your site is about selling some products, it should accept the online
payment, you can get the information of your customer via email, some
forms or some popular way in Internet ....
If your site's size is more than 50Kb, you should put a note at the top
of your site to let people wait during the loading time ... Although when
you test in your system, it doesn't take a time but remember that maybe
your customers don't have the Internet speed like you. Don't let people
close your site because they can't wait its loading ....
Decrease
the loading time of your pages ...
Reduce your images' size in website. Some graphic images shouldn't have
the size like that, you can set 72dpi for the resolution with 256 colors
. A 4" - 2" graphic images should has the size less than 10Kb.
If you really need a large picture, you can put a link with thumbnail
to the large picture.
You can determine the size of images in your HTML code, the browser will
resize the bigger pictures for you and also leave the space for your text
...
Reduce the number
of files in your web ( include images and HTML files ). People don't pay
attention to manage in page. There're 4 sockets in our browser, so if
you have 3 images and a HTML code, your page will be downloaded at the
same time ... if your have 4 images and a HTML code, the 5th file only
can be downloaded when 4 other files have been downloaded, so take care
of the numbers of your files, smaller than 5 is the best way ...
